Covet promises a $1,000 bonus for adding your friends to the game. However you ONLY get the bonus on two conditions.
1. The friend has to have NEVER played Covet before - never installed the app or played the game previously.
2. The friend has to link their Facebook account to the game.
If the above requirements are not met, you won't get the $1,000 bonus by adding a person as a friend.

I added two friends who had never played the game before. They both linked to their Facebook accounts and I have never received the $1000 bonus for either of them. Very disappointing.
